Salmon’s 2013 ‘Special Club’ release is from the excellent 2013 vintage (very much a vintage where Chardonnay shone) and is a blend of 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Noir. All grapes are sourced from just one single plot "La Truie" in Chaumuzy which has some of the oldest vines and consistently produces outstanding fruit. Reflecting the freshness and vibrancy of the vintage, the wine is very pale in colour with an incredibly fine mousse. It has lifted white floral aromatics with exotic spice and citrus notes. The palate is vinous and full with a saline minerality accentuated by the lack or need for dosage, pristine and pure, perfectly balanced with lovely delineation and tremendous length. Everything you would expect from a 'Special Club' release!
