This is a fresh and elegant Champagne, displaying lifted white floral notes with lots of minerality and citrus fruit aromas. The base wine is from 2015 with the addition of 25% reserve wines from the five preceding vintages. A high proportion of Chardonnay (40%) and equal proportions of Meunier and Pinot Noir give complete balance to the blend. It would make an ideal aperitif or a magical match with fresh fish or smoked salmon. Champagne for celebration!
Sourced from 30 plots in six different villages with an average vine age of 35 years with the oldest plots up to seventy years old. 30 months on lees with a further 6 months ageing before release. dosage 10g/l
Wine Spectator 91 points "Firm and focused, with a rich, smoky hint of tosted brioche carried on a lively bead and layered with more subtle notes of white peach , spun honey, lemon confit and pastry.
(At a 'Decanter' magazine tasting of Brut NV's, the Brut Nomine came an impressive third out of 118 entries)
